IPS2008: NCSAの可視化チーム
私の発表の前のセッションで、Donna Cox率いるNCSAの可視化チームによる竜巻や天の川銀河の素晴らしい可視化映像が立体上映されました。
大御所のDonna Coxをはじめとして、Partiview（Digital Universeの標準ビューア）の開発者Stewart Lavyなど有能な研究者からなる、間違いなく世界最高の可視化チームのひとつです。
DonnaにはニューヨークのNASA Workshop以来で久しぶりに会いましたが、日本での彼女らの映像作品の紹介や今後の協力、新しい立体ドームメディア特有の技術的な意見交換など、夕食をとりながらじっくり話すことができました。
